Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace Facelift Teased Ahead Of Global Debut On May 12

Volkswagen teased the updated Tiguan Allspace facelift ahead of its debut on May 12. The teaser image reveals the Tiguan’s rear, side, shoulder line, as well as tail-lamp. The new tail lamp features an LED pattern in line with the Tiguan facelift launched in 2020.
Overall, the 7-seater Tiguan gets trivial upgrades in styling inside and out, alongside other additional features. The cosmetic changes are expected to match with the standard Tiguan, such as a new front grille, revised bumpers, re-shaped headlamps, amongst others.
Some more features are likely to be carried forward from the pre-facelift version. It includes a panoramic sunroof, a fully digital instrument cluster, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment, LED lighting, three-zone climate control, rain-sensing wiper and headlamps, and paddle shifters.
The new changes in Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace Facelift are new alloy wheels, VW logo, and redesigned exhaust mufflers. Other features include touch-based AC controls, redesigned steering wheel, and ambient lighting.
Besides, the new Allspace will receive the latest control and assist systems and a wide range of online-based services from Volkswagen’s MIB3 infotainment system. Moving to the powertrain, the all-new Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace is likely to get a similar 2-litre turbo-petrol engine as the predecessor.
The Tiguan Allspace was launched in March 2020 and imported into our market as a CBU with a price tag of Rs. 34.20 lakh (ex-showroom). We can expect Volkswagen to launch the new model towards the end of this year or early 2022.
The new Tiguan Allspace will rival the Toyota Fortuner, Mahindra Alturas G4, Ford Endeavour, MG Gloster, and Skoda Kodiaq Petrol.
The company has a few launches lined up for India this year, including the Taigun midsize SUV and the Tiguan facelift.
