Volkswagen has revealed the interior features of the all-new Taigun. The car was already revealed in its production-spec guise in March 2021; however, the interior details were not shown. Now the carmaker has revealed these details, showcasing what you get by buying this mid-size SUV.
In terms of the dashboard, the car comes with a clean and minimalist look. In the released image, we can see Volkswagen Taigun holding a 10-inch touchscreen in the centre. The infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and also the My Volkswagen Connect app.
VW offers other key features inside the Production-spec SUV, such as the digital instrument cluster, which is missed in its sibling, the Skoda Kushaq. With the interior design being almost similar to the Taigun concept, the new model gets a black and grey colour scheme as standard. You can also choose other colour combinations.
Besides, the car comes with a three-spoke steering wheel with silver inserts for audio and phone controls. Interestingly, the German carmaker also knits added equipment like USB Type-C ports, wireless charging pad, automatic climate control, and heptagon air vents on both sides of the dashboard.
2021 Volkswagen Taigun is powered by two turbo-petrol engines from company’s TSI range. A 1-litre, three-cylinder TSI engine generates 115hp and 175Nm of peak torque, while a larger 1.5-litre, four-cylinder mil produces 150hp and 250Nm of torque.
Both these units are made available with 6-speed manual gearbox options. The 1.0-litre TSI will be packed additionally with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox option, while the 1.5-litre TSI engine with a 7-speed DCT automatic.
The all-new Volkswagen Taigun puts up against the likes of the Kia Seltos, Renault Duster, Nissan Kicks, MG Hector, Hyundai Creta, as well as its cousin Skoda Kushaq.
