Suzuki Motorcycle India has finally launched the new third-gen Hayabusa in the country. The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa carries a price tag of Rs 16.40 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The deliveries of the updated flagship superbike will commence from May 2021.
The updated Hayabusa features a revamped fairing for better aerodynamics. Under the skin, the motorcycle gets a host of updates, including advanced electronic riding aids and a host of new features.
The updated Hayabusa is available in three colours: Pearl Brilliant White/Metallic Matt Stellar Blue, Metallic Matt Sword Silver/Candy Daring Red and Glass Sparkle Black/Candy Burnt Gold.
The 2021 Hayabusa draws power from a BS6 1,340cc four-cylinder engine producing 187bhp and 150Nm of torque. The engine gets new components such as lighter connecting rods, pistons and fuel injectors. Despite the updates, the power figures have gone down when compared to the previous model. The new model produces 10bhp less power, and the torque has dropped by 5Nm.
The new Hayabusa gets a host of electronic riding aids, including 10-level traction control, 10-level wheelie control, 3-level engine brake control, cruise control, launch control, three power modes, hill hold control and cornering ABS. The kerb weight of the motorcycle has come down by 2kg, thanks to the lighter exhaust system. The kerb weight stands at 264kg.
Other updates on the 2021 ‘Busa’ includes an LED headlight and a new TFT display on the centre of the analogue instrument console. The display can be used to toggle and navigate through the electronic riding aids via the switch on the left handlebar.
