Suzuki reveals the new Swift Sport World Champion Edition to celebrate Suzuki’s 7th MotoGP World Championship title. The Suzuki Swift Sport World Champion Edition is a limited edition model, and the hatchback is on sale in Italy.
The Suzuki Swift Sport World Champion Edition is finished in Suzuki’s MotoGP colours, Blue and Silver. To highlight the sporty character of the limited edition hatchback, the Swift Sport World Champion Edition also gets racing stripes on the bonnet, tailgate and roof.
The interior of the limited edition Swift features neon accents on the dashboard, around the gear lever and door cards. The dashboard also features the autograph of Joan Mir — the 2020 MotoGP World Champion. Apart from that, the rest of the hatchback remains the same as the standard model.
The Suzuki Swift Sport World Champion Edition draws power from a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 127bhp and 235Nm of torque. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Swift Sport Champion Edition also gets a 48V hybrid system producing an additional power output of 13bhp.
The Suzuki Swift Sport World Champion Edition will not make it to the Indian shores. But Maruti Suzuki is expected to launch the Swift facelift in India with a host of updates to the design and mechanicals.
