Royal Enfield Meteor 350 has won the 2021 Indian Motorcycle of the Year (IMOTY) award. IMOTY is one of the prestigious motorcycle awards in the country. The latest offering from Royal Enfield has bagged the crown in 2021 by beating nine other motorcycles across the various segments.
The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 replaces the popular Thunderbird 350. The Meteor 350 continues to feature the cruiser-style design but with some modern touches. The new alloy wheels, windscreen and other design elements make the Meteor 350 a special motorcycle.
The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 draws power from a new 349cc single-cylinder, air and oil-cooled engine producing 20.2bhp and 27Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Apart from the new engine, the motorcycle also gets new features such as Tripper Navigation.
The new Tripper Navigation system can connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth through an app. Royal Enfield has partnered with Google to offer turn-by-turn navigation on the Tripper Navigation display. Other features include disc brakes at both ends with ABS and newly designed alloy wheels.
In the cars category, the Hyundai i20 has bagged the 2021 Indian Car of The Year (ICOTY) award.
