The Renault Kiger is available with two petrol engine options: 1-litre naturally aspirated and 1-litre turbocharged. The 1-litre naturally aspirated Energy engine produces 71bhp and 96Nm of torque and comes mated to an AMT or 5-speed manual gearbox. The 1-litre turbo-petrol engine churns out 98bhp and 160Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.
On the design front, the Renault Kiger is inspired by the popular Kwid hatchback. The compact SUV features a sleek twin-slat front grille with chrome treatment. The grille is flanked by sleek LED daytime running lights. The three-port headlights are integrated into the bumper, and the top-spec variant also gets tri-octa pure vision LED headlights. The SUV also gets body cladding.
Other design highlights of the Renault Kiger include dual-tone alloy wheels, silver roof rails, C-shaped LED tail lights, black plastic cladding on the rear bumper and much more. The Renault Kiger is available in six colour options: Ice Cool White, Planet Grey, Caspian Blue, Radiant Red, Mahogany Brown and Moonlight Grey. Renault also offers the dual-tone colour options at a premium of Rs. 17,000.
The interior of the Renault Kiger is dominated by an 8-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system. Other features include a 7-inch display for the digital instrument cluster, Arkamys 3D audio system, AC vents for the rear passengers, steering-mounted controls, automatic climate control, wireless smartphone charging and much more.
The safety features of the Renault Kiger include four airbags, ABS and rear parking sensors with camera. Renault also offers five accessory packs to personalise the compact SUV. The Renault Kiger rivals the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet and the Nissan Magnite.
