Harley-Davidson has released a teaser of the upcoming 1250 Custom in its official promo. The video of the production model revealed by the manufacturer resembles Harley-Davidson 1250 Custom motorcycle. It retains the design concept like fuel tank, fenders, a seat and showcases only trivial changes.
The production-spec 1250 Custom is expected to be powered by the new 1,252cc Revolution Max V-twin engine. The engine debuted in the 2021 Harley-Davidson Pan America delivers 150hp and 127Nm of torque. This liquid-cooled engine features variable double overhead camshafts, valve timing, and four-valve cylinder heads. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
According to the teaser, the bike gets high-mounted exhausts, round bar-end mirrors, a larger radiator, a Brembo brake caliper at the rear, and a new brake pedal.
The video also reveals the all-LED lights, with the rectangular headlamp, which looks similar to what we’ve seen on the Harley-Davidson Fat Bob. On the side, the Harley-Davidson 1250 Custom highlights a tiny tail section, a big V-twin engine, a flat seating, and a substantial heat shield over the exhaust pipe.
Other details of Harley-Davidson 1250 Custom visible on the video comprise a circular instrument cluster, expected to be a TFT with Bluetooth connectivity, and some switches to toggle between settings and menus on the dash.
The 1250 Custom is known to be a part of Harley-Davidson’s newest product strategy. We can expect the new bike to go on sale in late-2021. We may see Harley-Davidson launching the all-new 1250 in international markets initially and later in India.
The bike is likely to replace the Sportster range in Harley’s line-up that has been currently discontinued in Europe.
