Mahindra and Mahindra has launched the new petrol-AMT variant of the XUV300 in the country. The prices for the Mahindra XUV300 petrol-AMT variant starts at Rs. 9.95 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). Mahindra has started accepting bookings for the new variant, and the deliveries will commence this month.
Powering the XUV300 petrol is the same 1.2-litre turbocharged engine that churns out 108bhp and 200Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed AMT gearbox sourced from Magneti Marelli. Similar to the diesel models, the AMT gearbox is offered on the W6 and W8(O) variants. The AMT gearbox comes with features such as a manual mode and creep function, which automatically disables if the doors of the vehicle open when in motion.
The XUV300 W6 AMT variant also gets additional features such as hill-start assist and ESC (Electronic Stability Control). Apart from that, the top-spec variant comes with features such as dual-zone climate control, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, seven airbags and much more.
The newest addition to the feature list is the BlueSense Plus connected car technology. The W8 (O) AMT (Petrol and Diesel) variant of the compact SUV now comes with over 40 connected car features, which includes, safety, security, remote vehicle operations and vehicle alert features.
Another update comes in the form of addition of sunroof on the lower-spec W6 and W8 variants (both manual and AMT). But it has bumped up the price of the lower variants of the SUV. With the addition of new features, the XUV300 now becomes a fierce rival to the likes of Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Maruti Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue and Toyota Urban Cruiser.
