Mahindra and Mahindra has announced that the new-gen Thar has garnered over 50,000 bookings in the country. The Mahindra Thar SUV has managed to achieve the new bookings milestone in just six months. The booking numbers reflect the demand the new Thar has in the Indian market.
The new second-gen Mahindra Thar was launched in India on October 2, 2021. The overall design of the new Thar has not changed much, but it is now safer and loaded with a ton of features. The off-road SUV has scored a 4-star safety rating during the Global NCAP crash test.
The SUV comes with premium features such as LED DRLs, automatic climate control, alloy wheels, a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a hardtop roof and much more. The new Thar is equipped with standard safety equipment such as dual front airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors and much more.
The new Thar draws power from a 2-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine. Mahindra offers a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The Mahindra Thar is priced in the range of Rs 12.10 lakh to Rs 14.15 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
