Land Rover Classic has revealed the Defender Works V8 Edition and continues the expedition legacy of the original Defender. The Land Rover Defender Works V8 Trophy is a limited production model built for an exclusive competition at Eastnor Castle in 2021.
Only 25 units of the Defender Works V8 Trophy will be built and will be available in 90 and 100 body styles. The Defender Works V8 Trophy is based on the re-engineered 2012-2016 Defender Works V8. The Trophy edition features a host of upgrades to tackle off-road conditions.
The Land Rover Defender Works V8 Trophy draws power from a 5-litre V8 petrol engine producing 498bhp and 515nm of torque. The engine is coupled with an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox. Land Rover Classic has equipped the SUV with uprated suspension, steering and braking packages.
The Trophy edition vehicles also get the all-terrain kit including a roof rack, front winch, underbody protection, multi-point expedition cage, raised air intake, A-bar, mud-terrain tyres and LED spotlights. The SUV features a unique Eastnor Yellow body paint and contrast Narvik Black paint scheme on the bonnet, rear door and wheel arches. The 16-inch steel wheels also get yellow body paint.
The interior of the Trophy edition Defender features a full-black Windsor leather upholstery, Recaro seats, a bespoke Land Rover Trophy clock face by Elliot Brown and contrast yellow stitching. The interior also features the Classic Infotainment system with smartphone connectivity and integrated navigation.
The customers will be invited to an exclusive three-day adventure, and that’s the first time they will be driving the SUV. Expert one-to-one training will be provided as part of the adventure to develop extreme driving techniques. The customers will compete for a range of prizes, and the overall winner will win a grand prize, which will be announced this year.
