Hyundai revealed a performance-oriented all-new Hyundai Kona N SUV. With the latest styling, interiors, and feature upgrades. The new Kona N is developed to offer a fun-to-drive experience to the customers alongside uncompromising performance, safety, comfort, and convenience.
The 2021 Kona N SUV is the fifth Hyundai to come with the sporty N-badge, following the i20, i30, i30 Fastback, Veloster hatchbacks. Hyundai has plans to launch 18 new models to the N and N line variants by next year. According to the company, the future N models will receive battery electric as well as hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles.
The latest Hyundai Kona N is powered by a turbocharged 2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine which generates 280bhp and 392Nm of peak torque. The unit is mated to Hyundai’s N DCT, the 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
To speak about looks, the new Kona N follows the steps of other N models. It gets the aero package, aggressive styling, wide-track wheel designs, colour-coded bumpers, and an exclusive Sonic Blue paint option. At the rear, the car is seen with twin exhaust pipes, a double-wing roof spoiler, and a diffuser.
On the inside, the Hyundai Kona N receives a modified infotainment system. When you pick N or Sport mode, the 10.25-inch touchscreen as well as digital displays reveals lap times, circuit maps, and also other information in a video game-style format.
Other interior features include an N-exclusive sport steering wheel with customisable N buttons, head-up display, latest sport seats, Alcantara inserts in the cabin, and N logos dotted around.
There are no updates on the 2021 Hyundai Kona N entering the Indian market. But, we can expect the Korean brand to introduce an N-line sub-brand with the launch of the i20 N-Line in India this year.
