Hyundai Motor India is all set to reveal Alcazar SUV on April 6, 2021. This new SUV will be based on the Hyundai Creta and marks company’s re-entry into the 7-seater segment.
Just a month ago, the company unveiled the 7-seater SUV’s official name as Alcazar, influenced by the royal lineage of castles and palaces of medieval times. According to the Korean carmaker, Hyundai Alcazar will be ‘Made in India’ and also ‘Made First for India.’
Although Alcazar SUV is based on Creta and shares the common engine and gearbox options, it gets better equipped in terms of equipment and features. With a little tweaked front bumper and cascading grille, the car comes with LED taillamps, split LED headlamps, dual exhaust ports, front parking sensors, roof rails, and more.
The other cosmetic updates include different alloy wheel designs and additional lengths to house the third row of seats. We can expect Hyundai Alcazar SUV to receive 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre diesel, as well as 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine options.
Hyundai will offer the all-new Alcazar SUV in 6-seater and 7-seater variations. The 6-seater SUV comes with captain seats in the centre. To speak about interiors, the Alcazar includes a touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto-ready support, wireless charger, multi-zone automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, etc.
We can expect the pricing of the Alcazar SUV to be revealed in May 2021. Following its launch in our market, the SUV will rival the likes of the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, and Mahindra XUV500.
