Honda Two-wheelers Suspends Production At All Factories

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI has announced that the company will temporarily suspend production at all factories. The decision has been made due to the grave situation caused by the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

With lockdowns across the country, Honda has decided to temporarily halt production from May 1 to May 15, 2021. Honda has four manufacturing plants in the country: Tapukara (Rajasthan), Manesar (Haryana), Narsapura (Karnataka) and Vithalapur (Gujarat). The production will be stopped at all the factories.

Honda has stated that the company will utilise this time to carry out maintenance work at the plants. Depending on the situation of the pandemic, Honda will review the production plan. The company also said that the office associates will continue to work from home to carry out the business activities and to support customers and business partners.

Honda is not the first manufacturer to halt production. Hero MotoCorp has also temporarily suspended the production at all manufacturing plants.
