Japanese two-wheeler maker Honda has introduced the CB500X lightweight adventure-tourer motorcycle in India. The Honda CB500X is priced at Rs 6.87 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The CB500X will come to India via CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route.
The Honda CB500X draws power from a 471cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine producing 47bhp and 43.2Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox assisted by a slipper clutch.
The adventure-tourer motorcycle is equipped with 41mm telescopic forks upfront and a preload-adjustable mono-shock suspension at the rear. The CB500X gets 19-inch and 17-inch front and rear alloy wheels, respectively. The seat height stands at 830mm, and there is an ample amount of ground clearance of 181mm.
Other features of the CB500X include disc brakes with dual-channel ABS, all-LED lighting, a negative LCD (display) for the instrument cluster, a tall windscreen and much more. The motorcycle also gets Honda Ignition Security System and emergency stop signal.
The motorcycle is offered in two colour schemes: Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic and Grand Prix Red. The Honda CB500X lock horns with the likes of Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT, Benelli TRK 502 and Kawasaki Versys 650. The motorcycle can be booked across all the Honda BigWing dealerships in the country.
