Ford is all set to unveil the EcoSport SE variant in the Indian market in the second week of March 2021, as per the CarWale report. The new model is similar to the international-spec EcoSport but gets a revised exterior design.
The redesigned tailgate comes with a registration plate placed below a thick chrome garnish. This update changes the design of the rear skid plate as well. We can also expect the 2021 Ford EcoSport SE to receive additional features such as a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), tubeless tyres, and a puncture repair kit. It is because the new EcoSport will not include a factory-fitted spare wheel.
As for the engine, the new variant of the EcoSport will more likely come with both petrol and diesel options, the same as the previous model. It will get 1.5-litre petrol or diesel engine that belts out a maximum power of 121bhp with 149Nm of Torque and 99bhp with 215Nm of Torque, respectively.
A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard in all SUV model lineup. However, a 6-speed automatic transmission is offered on the fully-loaded petrol motor exclusively.
The Ford EcoSport SE is said to offer a 5-seater cabin with a dual-tone dashboard, automatic climate control, power windows, and an adjustable steering wheel. It is also packed with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment console, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, four speakers, and Bluetooth connectivity.
