The Ferrari Roma, the new mid-front-engined 2+ coupé of the Prancing Horse, has come to India after its global unveil.  Launched at Rs. 3.61 crore (ex-showroom), you may see even higher prices depending on its customisation.

Timeless design combined with unparalleled performance is drawing the attention of Ferrari lovers in the nation. This head-turner is built aesthetically on the GT design language. The sleek headlamps, elegant silhouette, flared fenders, and body-coloured grille indicates the ‘La Dolce Vita’ concept, signifying the carefree, pleasurable, and luxurious life that characterised Rome in the 1950s and ‘60s.

The Ferrari Roma is a front-engined car with a long hood. With 4.6 metres in length and weighing 1,472 kg, the shape is typical of a GT, comprising muscular haunches, giving drivers a sense of sportiness. It has strips of LED tail lamps and two pairs of exhaust tips on both sides at the rear. You will find a spoiler integrated into the rear windscreen, which deploys automatically at high speed.

The engineers have used the new generation models to give you a feel of extraordinary fun. The body-shell and the chassis are redesigned to include the weight reduction and advanced production system. 70 percent of the components in Ferrari Roma are entirely new. It has new vehicle dynamics systems like Side Slip Control 6.0 and a dynamic enhancer to control the yaw angle by hydraulically regulating brake pressure at the callipers.

Its 4 litre turbocharged V8 engine offers the pinnacle of performance in this category. It belongs to the family of engines that has won the International Engine of the Year award four years running. The Roma engine is coupled with the new 8-speed DCT gearbox. The car does the 0-200 kmph stint in 9.3 seconds, while the top speed is recorded at 320 kmph.
