French automaker Citroen has begun its Indian innings with the launch of the C5 Aircross SUV. The Citroen C5 Aircross carries an introductory starting price tag of Rs 29.90 ex-showroom (Delhi). The C5 Aircross comes to India via CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route, and the kit is assembled at the company’s Tamil Nadu facility.
Citroen C5 Aircross Variants and Price:
The Citroen C5 Aircross is available in two variants: Feel and Shine. The single-tone colour variant of the Feel trim is priced at Rs 29.90 lakh, and the dual-tone colour variant carries a price tag of 30.30 lakh. The top-spec Shine trim is priced at Rs 31.90 lakh for single and dual-tone colour options.
The C5 Aircross is available in four single tone and three dual-tone colour options. The colour schemes include Pearl White (single/dual-tone), Cumulus Grey (single/dual-tone), Tijuca Blue (single/dual-tone) and Pearl Nera Black.
Citroen C5 Aircross Features:
The entry-level trim of the C5 Aircross comes loaded with features such as automatic headlights and wipers and 18-inch alloy wheels. The interior of the SUV features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch display for the digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control and much more.
The safety features of the Feel trim of the SUV include six airbags, traction control, ESC, TPMS, front and rear parking sensors and much more. The top-spec Shine trim gets additional features such as LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof and an electrically operated tailgate.
Citroen C5 Aircross Engine and Gearbox:
The SUV is offered with a 2-litre diesel engine producing 175bhp and 400Nm of torque. Transmission options include an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The engine will deliver a claimed fuel economy of 18.6kmpl.
Another highlight of the C5 Aircross is the Progressive Hydraulic Cushion-equipped suspension system, which offers a supple ride. The Citroen C5 Aircross rivals the likes of Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass and Volkswagen T-Roc.
