The Bavarian carmaker will launch M340i M Performance in India on March 10. This tuned version offers better acceleration and dynamics and is considered the most powerful 3 Series in the line-up.
The M Performance is likely to be powered by a 3-litre turbo petrol, six-cylinder motor, and the xDrive all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup. The motor will be engineered to produce around 370hp and 500Nm of peak torque, sharing 8-speed automatic gearbox. The car is expected to be assembled at BMW’s Chennai plant.
We can expect the company to modify the all-new BMW M340i in its appearance to complement the sporty feel. It might get a BMW Z4 inspired chrome studded grille, a revised bumper with air curtains on both ends, a revised rear diffuser, bigger exhaust tips, 19-inch alloy wheels shod, M Sport suspension, 348 mm front discs, and 345 mm rear discs.
To speak about the interior, the BMW M340i will come with similar features to the standard 3 Series. It will receive ambient lighting, extended storage, three-zone automatic climate control, and an automatically dimming rear-view mirror. Other equipment includes BMW Live Cockpit Plus, a navigation system, Park Distance Control with front and rear sensor, an 8.8-inch Control Display with the Connected Package Plus including Remote Services, Concierge Services, Real-Time Traffic Information, and Apple CarPlay, etc.
As the new M340i will be positioned at the top of the line-up series, we can expect it to be priced around Rs. 65 lakh.
