BMW Motorrad India has revealed that the M 1000 RR will be launched soon in the country. BMW Motorrad India has announced this development via its social media channels. The BMW M 1000 RR will be the first M model from the German motorcycle manufacturer.
The M 1000 RR is based on the standard S 10000 RR, but it gets a host of mechanical and cosmetic updates. The 999cc in-line four-cylinder, water-cooled engine produces 209bhp and 113Nm of torque.
The rev-limiter of the engine stands at 15,100rpm. The engine features BMW ShiftCam technology and revamped internal components. The M-spec variant of the motorcycle also gets a lightweight titanium exhaust system.
On the design front, the M 1000 RR features a new paint scheme with a unique livery. The motorcycle also features aerodynamic design elements such as clear-coat carbon-M winglets and a tall windscreen.
Other highlights of the motorcycle include M carbon wheels, high-performance M brakes, lightweight M battery, LED headlights, heated grips and much more. The motorcycle also features a host of riding aids such as riding modes, wheelie control, traction control, launch control, hill-start control, pit lane limiter, bi-directional quick-shifter and much more.
