BMW 220i Sport Launched In India; Priced At Rs 37.90 Lakh

BMW has introduced the new 220i Sport in the country at an introductory price of Rs 37.90 lakh ex-showroom. The new entry-level 220i Sport petrol variant of the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is locally produced at the company’s Chennai plant. The BMW 220i Sport is available at BMW dealerships with immediate effect.

The newly launched BMW 220i Sport draws power from a 2-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine producing 190bhp and 280Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a seven-speed automatic gearbox. The 220i Sport can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 7.1 seconds.

On the design front the new 220i Sport features the signature kidney grille, LED headlights and LED tail lights. The new petrol variant of the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels. The 220iSport is offered in four colours: Storm Bay, Melbourne Red, Black Sapphire and Alpine White.

The interior of the 220i Sport features an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, panoramic sunroof, 5.1-inch digital instrument cluster and sport seats. Other features of the 220i Sport include ambient lighting, cruise control, driving modes, dual-zone climate control, six airbags, traction control, electronic stability control and much more.

BMW also offers two upholstery options on the 220I Sport: Sensatec Black and Sensatec Oyster Black. The new 220i Sport variant also features a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
