Bajaj Chetak electric scooter has received a price hike in the Indian market. The Premium variant of the scooter is dearer by Rs 5,000, and the Urbane variant has become expensive by Rs 15,000.
With the price hike, the prices of the Bajaj Chetak electric scooter stands at Rs 1.15 lakh (Urbane) and Rs 1.20 lakh (Premium). Both prices are ex-showroom.
Despite the price hike, the electric scooter does not receive any updates. The scooter is equipped with a 3.8kW electric motor capable of producing a maximum power output of 5.4bhp. The electric motor draws power from a 3kWh lithium-ion battery.
The electric scooter delivers a riding range of 95km in Eco mode. The range drops to 85km in the Sport mode. The battery-powered Chetak can reach a top-speed of 70km/h. The battery can be charged up to 100 percent in 5 hours via a 5-ampere power socket.
The Chetak electric scooter features a neo-retro design inspired by the original scooter. The scooter comes with a host of features such as an LED headlight (all-LED lighting), a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, a front disc brake and much more.
With the latest price hike, the Bajaj Chetak electric has become more expensive than its rival, the TVS iQube. The eco-friendly TVS scooter carries a price tag of Rs 1.08 lakh ex-showroom.
