The German carmaker is set to unveil Audi Q4 e-Tron and the Q4 e-Tron Sportback on April 14, 2021. The company has teased the images on social media ahead of the world premiere, revealing its offerings’ sneak peek.
These two all-electric models are the fourth production in Audi’s e-Tron family, followed by e-Tron, e-Tron Sportback, and the e-Tron GT. The Q4 e-Tron compact SUV production has commenced in March at Volkswagen’s Zwickau plant and is expected to be rolled off as the same production line as the Volkswagen ID.4.
The Q4 e-Tron models are based on a Volkswagen-made modular electric drive matrix (MEB). It is a highly versatile and variable platform that underpins ID.3 and ID.4. We can expect this new-age model to get a modern cabin with the latest features.
According to the teaser image, we can see a static shot of the crossovers’ side profiles. It shows the difference in their styling, especially the Sportback’s coupe-inspired sloping roofline.
To speak about other details, both the Q4 SUV and the Q4 Coupe SUV Sportback get similar dimensions of 4600 mm length, 1600 mm height, and 1900 mm width. Powerwise, the all-new Audi Q4 e-Tron models can be seen packing 82-kilowatt hours battery pack.
With two electric motors producing a maximum output of 225 kW and 460Nm of torque, the all-electric Q4 SUVs can sprint 0-100 kmph in 6.3 seconds.
Audi has confirmed the launch of e-Tron models in the Indian market by the mid of this year. Being the brand’s first all-electric offering in our nation, it will rival against the likes of the Jaguar I-Pace and Mercedes-Benz EQC.
