Italian two-wheeler maker Aprilia has launched the new SXR 125 maxi-scooter in the Indian market. The Aprilia SXR 125 carries a price tag of Rs 1.16 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The newly launched scooter is based on the recently introduced SXR 160.
The Aprilia SXR 125 features a similar design as its elder sibling, the SXR 160. The front apron and bodywork remain identical to the SXR 160. The LED headlights are inspired by the Aprilia RS660 motorcycle. Even the suspension setup remains unchanged and gets telescopic forks upfront and mono-shock suspension at the rear.
The SXR 125 is available in four colour options: Glossy Red, Matt Blue, Glossy White and Matt Black.
The feature list of the SXR 125 is also identical to the SXR 160. The scooter comes with features such as all-LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster with optional Bluetooth connectivity and a USB charging port. However, the SXR 125 gets only CBS (Combined Braking System) as opposed to ABS seen on the SXR 160.
The Aprilia SXR 125 draws power from the existing 124.45cc engine producing 9.3bhp and 9.2Nm of torque. You can book the 125cc scooter online by making an advance payment of Rs 5,000. You can also make the booking at the dealerships once the COVID-19 restrictions are eased. The Aprilia SXR 125 takes on the likes of Suzuki Burgman 125.
