Huawei, the notable Chinese smartphone maker, along with SERES – the electric car, as well as a component manufacturer, built a new hybrid SUV naming it Huawei SERES SF5.
The partnership of these two companies was announced at the Shanghai Auto show. The companies have revealed that the SF5 SUV will go on sale across China via Huawei flagship stores.
The all-new SF5 is a range-extended electric car, capable of covering 180km in pure electric mode. The electric motors of Huawei SERES SF5 generate a combined 551hp and 820Nm of peak torque.
The Huawei car comes with a hybrid system that uses a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine to power its battery and can travel a range of over 1000km on hybrid power, according to the New European Driving Cycle Test.
In terms of looks and exterior features, SERES SF5 gets a well-ordered and well-proportioned crossover-esque styling. A neatly integrated mesh grille, sweptback headlights, and a set of distinctive LED DRLs make it look appealing to our eyes.
On the sides, the Huawei SERES SF5 SUV can be seen with clean bodylines, flush door handles, as well as a tapering roofline. The rear end of the car comes with slim LED taillights connected by a full-width light strip.
Huawei SERES SF5 gets a minimalistic design on the inside. It comes with a plain dashboard, large portrait-oriented infotainment with touchscreen facility, digital instrument cluster, L2+ automatic assisted driving, a panoramic sunroof, metallic accents, wood inserts, leather upholstery, seat massager, ventilated seats, and 11-speaker audio system, amongst others.
Huawei SERES is packed with safety features like low-speed traffic assist, lane centring, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, etc.
