Mercedes has revealed the all-new Mercedes-Benz EQS, which looks more desirable and convincing. With a 0.20 drag coefficient, the car is designed to be extremely aerodynamically efficient.
Mercedes-Benz EQS comes with an advanced interior, a new electric drivetrain, and an over-the-air software facility. The EV is packed with powertrain options ranging from a 334hp to a 523hp.
The German carmaker uses its dedicated EVA (Electric Vehicle Architecture) platform in the EQS model. The new EVA platform brings air suspension at each corner as well as a rear-wheel steering system with a 4.5deg of rear steering angle.
To speak about looks, Mercedes-Benz EQS stays true to the 2019 EQS Vision concept. It gets aluminium-body and a one-bow roofline that stretches back towards a liftback-style tailgate. Other design elements include a black grille panel, fixed clamshell bonnet, a pair of angular headlights, a horizontal light bar, and frameless doors.
Inside Mercedes-Benz EQS, you will see a new digital Hyperscreen with three digital displays for instruments, central infotainment, and air-con functions. The latest generation of MBUX is used to control the system.
The rear-wheel-drive EQS 450 comes with a rear-mounted asynchronous electric motor and produces 334hp and 458Nm of peak torque. The initial range-topping EQS 580 is capable of generating a combined 523hp and 856Nm of torque. Both cars receive a 107.8kWh lithium-ion battery.
We can expect the India launch to happen by early 2022.
