Czech automaker Skoda has taken the wraps off the 2021 Kodiaq facelift. The new 2021 Skoda Kodiaq facelift features updates to the exterior design and feature list. Overall, the new avatar of the SUV looks sporty and sharper than the outgoing model.
On the design front, the Kodiaq facelift features Skoda’s latest design elements, such as an upright front grille, raised bonnet and redesigned bumpers. The 2021 avatar of the SUV also gets redesigned headlights with LED Matrix elements. The SUV also gets a new spoiler at the rear with finlets on the sides to improve aerodynamics.
The 2021 Kodiaq will be offered in S, SE, SE L, L&K and Sportline trims in the global markets. The top-spec L&K and Sportline variants get slightly different design trims. The sporty Kodiaq RS features blacked-out design elements, a unique front bumper and 20-inch alloy wheels.
The interior of the updated Kodiaq features a 10.25-inch display for the Virtual Cockpit, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system as standard and a 9.2-inch display as an option. The interior also features new seat designs, 10-speaker Canton audio system and updated LED ambient lighting.
The interior of the Kodiaq RS features red RS stitching on the upholstery and comes with Virtual Cockpit as standard. The digital instrument console also has a dedicated sport layout option.
In the global markets, the 2021 Kodiaq will be available with 1.5-litre petrol and 2-litre diesel engine options. Both the engines will be offered in two states of tune. The Kodiaq RS gets a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine.
Transmission options include a six-speed manual (entry-level petrol trim) and a seven-speed automatic gearbox. The top-spec petrol and diesel variants also get AWD (All-wheel-drive).
Skoda is expected to introduce the new 2021 Kodiaq in the Indian market later this year.
