Renault India is all set to begin the sales and deliveries of its sporty and stunning Renault Kiger from March 3. The deliveries will take place at Renault’s extensive dealership network across the country. The highly competitive sub-compact SUV Kiger was launched in India on February 15, and the company started accepting bookings on the same day.
Renault Kiger offers unmatched price ranging between Rs. 5.45 lakh to Rs. 9.55 lakh (ex-showroom). The sub-4metre compact SUV comes with four different variants- RXE, RXL, RXT, and RXZ. The company offers dual-tone options for the new Kiger and commands a premium of Rs. 17,000 over their monotone counterparts.
In terms of features, the new Renault Kiger is packed with twin-slat chrome grille, functional roof rails, 7-inch digital instrument panel, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, Arkamys 3D sound system with 8 speakers, LED DRLs, tri-LED headlights, C-shaped LED taillights, hands-free smart access card, automatic climate control, wireless phone charger, PM2.5 air filter, and five different accessory packs – Smart, Smart+, SUV, Attractive and Essential.
The all-new Kiger is equipped with a couple of powertrain choices. It comes with a 3-cylinder 1-litre turbocharged petrol engine mated to 5-speed MT and 5-speed X-Tronic CVT automatic gearbox. The car is also made available in a 3-cylinder energy 1-litre naturally-aspirated petrol motor paired to either 5-speed Easy-R AMT or 5-speed MT.
The 2021 Renault Kiger competes with the Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Nissan Magnite, and Tata NexonFord EcoSport.
