2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Facelift Launched In India

Mercedes-Benz India launched the 2021 E-Class long-wheelbase facelift with a starting price of Rs. 63.6 lakh (ex-showroom). The all-new sedan has five different variants with three engine options and will continue to be offered in the LWB form.

To speak about exteriors, the E-Class facelift gets new alloy wheel designs, new headlamps, and a front bumper. New changes in the rear include a bumper design and slim, horizontal tail-lamps. In short, the latest avatar of the E-Class long-wheelbase facelift has a sportier design and a host of interesting features.

The premium E-Class E 350d AMG-line variant comes with a unique diamond-studded front grille, AMG design front, and rear bumpers, sportier 18-inch alloy wheels, as well as a special beige-tropez blue interior upholstery.

You can get this E-Class LWB facelift in various colours such as Obsidian Black, Mojave Silver, High-Tech Silver, and Polar White. Also, you can see a Selenite Grey and Designo Hyacinth Red, but only for a limited period.

The E-Class facelift’s cabin now receives two 12.3-inch screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment system in top-spec form. The new sedan will also get a new touchscreen in the rear-centre armrest and two USB ports at the back. Besides, Mercedes has added the latest steering wheel with capacitive touch controls.

Mercedes-Benz E-class Interior

The top-spec E 350d AMG Line is equipped with the latest MBUX software for the infotainment system, Apple CarPlay support, Android Auto support, a 590W Burmester sound system, voice commands, Meconnect with Alexa and Google home support, two wireless phone chargers, three-zone automatic climate control, reclining rear seats, full leather upholstery, soft-close doors, a panoramic sunroof, and air suspension.

In terms of safety features, the E-Class long wheelbase facelift E 350d comes with ABS with EBD and brake assist, seven airbags, traction control, ESP, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, front and rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system, and a 360-degree parking camera.

Mercedes-Benz E-class Exterior

2021 Mercedes Benz E Class facelift is packed with 2-litre petrol, 2-litre diesel, and the 3-litre V6 diesel engine. The 2-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine offers a power output of 194hp and 320Nm of peak torque. The 2-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine offers 192hp and 400Nm of peak torque. The 3-litre 6-cylinder diesel engine offers 286hp of power and 600Nm of peak torque.

The top-spec E 350d gets this new 3-litre mil. All engines are paired to a 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

The all-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class long wheelbase facelift rivals the likes of the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series, Volvo S90, and the Jaguar XF.
