Kia Motors India has launched the updated Seltos SUV in the country. The prices for the 2021 Kia Seltos start at Rs 9.95 lakh and goes all the way up to 17.65 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom (India).
Kia has rejigged the variants of the Seltos and added new features on select trims. The updated avatar of the Seltos also gets a new gearbox option in the form of iMT (Manual clutchless) transmission. Lastly, the 2021 Seltos also sports Kia’s new logo.
For 2021, Kia has discontinued the HTX+ diesel trim of the SUV. But the mid-size SUV gets two new trims: HTK+ 1.5 Petrol iMT and GTX(O) 1.4T GDI Petrol 6MT. The low and mid-spec variants also get more features.

2021 Kia Selto Features
Coming to the features, the HTK trims now come with wireless smartphone connectivity (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay). The HTK+ trims get a remote engine start function. The HTK+ trim with iMT gearbox also gets an electric sunroof, automatic climate control and beige seat upholstery.
HTX variants of the Seltos get additional safety features such as brake assist, hill-start assist, traction control and ESC. The infotainment system now accepts a wide range of commands to control the sunroof, AC vents, driver’s side power window and front defogger. The HTX trims also get an air purifier as standard.
The HTX+ trim is equipped with black and brown leatherette seat covers. On the other hand, the new GTX(O) trim gets beige and black leatherette seat covers with red stitching. The top-spec GTX+ trims now come with paddle shifters.
2021 Kia Seltos Engine and Gearbox
The 2021 Kia Seltos continues to draw power from a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.5-litre diesel engine and a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine. The naturally aspirated petrol unit produces 113bhp and 144Nm of torque and can be had with a 6-speed manual, CVT and an iMT gearbox.
The 1.4-litre turbo-petrol unit churns out 138bhp and 242Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The diesel engine is good for 113bhp and 250Nm of torque and comes paired with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The 2021 Kia Seltos lock horns with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, MG Hector, Renault Duster, Maruti S-Cross and Nissan Kicks.
