To mark its 120th anniversary, the American automaker Indian Motorcycle has unveiled a limited-run edition Chieftain Elite. The production of this model will be limited to only 120 units.
The company’s most exclusive Elite model gets an aggressive look. It is painted with a dual-tone Thunder Black Vivid, Carbon Crystal, and a Slate Smoke finish with color-matched badging.
The 2021 Indian Chieftain Elite also receives a host of electronic features. It is packed with a 1,890cc Thunderstroke 116 air-cooled engine that belts out 170Nm of peak torque. The powerful engine is then paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The bike comes with a rear cylinder deactivation system, known to offer enhanced riding comfort in slow-moving traffic.
The limited-run model is equipped with a tinted flare windshield, all-LED lighting, 7.0-inch RIDE COMMAND infotainment console supporting Apple CarPlay, and a 400W PowerBand sound system.
The cruiser bike also gets optional accessories for personalization, such as the colour-matched remote-locking trunk, colour-matched hard lower fairings, adjustable air dams, low-profile quick-release passenger sissy bar, and different types of handlebars, seats, and backrest pad.
The 2021 Chieftain Elite has disc brakes on the front and rear wheels, alongside ABS, tire pressure monitoring facility, and key-less ignition. To speak about the suspension, the motorcycle comes with 46mm telescopic forks and a mono-shock unit on the front and rear end, respectively.
You can get this bike in three selectable ride modes – Standard, Tour, and Sport. The 2021 Indian Chieftain Elite is priced from $34,999 (approximately Rs. 25.6 lakh) in the US. Currently, there are no details about the availability and pricing of this limited-edition bike in India.
