BMW Motorrad has introduced the BS-6 compliant R nineT and R nineT Scrambler in the Indian market. The 2021 BMW R nineT carries a price tag of Rs 18.5 lakh, while the R nineT Scrambler is priced at Rs 16.75 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom (India). Both the motorcycles are launched via CBU (Completely Built Unit) route.
The BMW R nineT is a roadster motorcycle, whereas the R nineT Scrambler, as the name goes by, is a scrambler-style motorcycle. Both the motorcycles feature a round LED headlight, LED DRL and newly designed classic round instrument cluster.
The BMW R nineT and R nineT Scrambler draw power from a 1,170cc, air and oil-cooled boxer engine producing 107.2bhp and 116Nm of torque. The engine receives a host of updates to comply with the new BS6 emission norms. The claimed to-speed stands at 200km/h, and the motorcycles can sprint from stand-still to 100km/h in just 3.5 seconds.
The newly introduced motorcycles come with two riding modes as standard: Rain and Road. Other safety features of the R nineT and R nineT Scrambler include Automatic Stability Control, Dynamic Brake Control and ABS Pro. Both the motorcycles can be booked across the BMW Motorrad showrooms in the country.
